Tile and Grout Cleaning

The best way to apply any grout or tile cleaner is with a foam trigger spray applicator as several bathroom cleaners contain mild acids. This eliminates the unpleasant air borne acid smell when applied with a regular sprayer. Remember to read labels for safe handling procedures.

Spot or Stain?

A recent soiled area that can be removed with the proper cleaner.

permanent mark that cannot be removed with standard products and a special stain removal product should be used.  No one product takes all spots or stains out of carpet.

What is a Molecule?

A molecule is the smallest particle of an element or compound that normally exists on its own and still retains its properties. Molecules normally consist of two or more atoms bonded together. Some molecules have thousands of atoms. Ionic compounds consist of ions and do not have molecules.  For example, a water molecule (H2O) consists of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom.

What is an Atom?

An atom is the smallest particle of an element that retains the chemical properties of that element. The atoms of many elements are bonded together in groups to form particles called molecules. Atoms consist of three main types of smaller particles. These include the electrons, protons and neutrons.

There are three atoms in water (H2O). These are two atoms of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen which are connected by covalent bonds. Water is essential to the growth and development of all living organisms.

What is a Surfactant?

Surfactants are substances which lower the surface tension of water.  The word "Surfactant" combines the terms "surface active agent". Surfactants play an important role as cleaning, wetting, dispersing, emulsifying, foaming and anti-foaming agents in many practical applications and products, including detergents, shampoo and paints. These surface-active agents modify the emulsifying, foaming, dispersing, spreading and wetting properties of a product.

Test Before Use

Test any product you use on a fabric or carpet for colour fastness. Find a place out of sight to test your cleaning product to ensure that colour will not run or be altered in any way.
